The Cypress driftwood that we offer comes from the swamps of northern Florida where it is collected, cleaned, and dried. Much of what we offer is from old growth Cypress that was hand cut more than 100 years ago and has been naturally aged by the rivers and swamps. Every piece is unique, and ready to add amazing detail to your terrarium. Cypress is highly sought after due to the resistance to rot, as well as the unique appearance of pieces. We have a 12 year old terrarium with Cypress in it and the wood is still solid and resisting decay. Additionally, epiphytes grow on this wood wonderfully; including Bromeliads, epiphytic ferns, and orchids!
