Founded in 2012, Glass Box Tropicals initially specialized in terrarium and vivarium plants suited to accompany poison dart frogs. Since then, we have grown to provide one of the largest selections of terrarium-specific plants available online. We also offer house plants, terrariums, and supplies for animal husbandry and terrarium construction.

As we help you enjoy plants in your own home, it is incredibly important to us that we do so in an environmentally conscious way. In order to reduce our energy footprint, we use LED lighting for all of our plants, which in turn lessens our need for air conditioning . Through participation in a single-stream recycling service, we have reduced our waste to a single fifteen-gallon trash bag or less per week. We compost all organic materials. Finally, many of our packaging supplies are made from recycled materials, and we highly encourage our customers to recycle or reuse them.
