General Information and Care: Elaphoglossum trilobate is an interesting relatively new introduction to the US terrarium hobby. This species hails from Ecuador, and is typically found growing epiphytically on tree branches or rocks. The leaves of this species are typically held up off of the rhizome about 1". The leaves themselves are about a half in wide and tall. Each leaf has several points on it where it is divided. One good plant friend compared it to parsely when he looked at it. We have had the best experience growing this species when mounted on wood with small bit of sphagnum under it. Overall this is a much easier to grow species than any of the Elaphoglossum peltatum species that we offer.
