General Information and Care: Marcgravia sp. Mendez is one of the smaller species of this Genus that we offer. Even though it is small, it has an amazing appeal to many collectors. This is due to the amazing coloration and patterning on the leaves. The macro pictures above demonstrate this extremely well. Typically the leaves do not exceed 1 in length and less than ¼ in width. This species seems to prefer to stay on the moist side and have medium to high light in our experience to do best and to have the best coloration and patterning. Overall should be treated like most other Marcgravias in terms of establishment on moist sphagnum.
