General Information and Care: Tillandsia ionantha Mexican Select is another wonderful terrarium suitable species. This form has thicker leaves and tends to grow more upright in a flaring vase shape. Greener in color than some forms due to smaller trichomes, and thus flushes a more brilliant red at anthesis, with blue flowers. These plants stay a bit small at only 2 in diameter at most per plant.
