General Information and Care: Ficus pumila variegata, also known as Variegated Creeping Fig, is a great fast growing vine for a terrarium. It is slightly slower to get established as compared to Ficus pumila. However, once it establishes itself, it can grow just as quickly as Ficus pumila. Many customers choose this variety due to the beautiful white markings on the leaves. As with all of the Ficus species, this species is not tolerant of being dry. It also prefers medium to high light, though will grow in lower light, just at a much reduced rate. Overall this is a great species to add a quick pop of color to your terrarium and is very easy to grow!
