General Information and Care: Ficus sp. âPanamaâ is another plant from this ever loved Ficus family that is commonly used in terrariums. It is one of the slower growing of the Ficus species that we offer. However it makes up for the slow growth with a very unique leaf shape to this family. The leaves are dark green, with an elongated oval shape. They stay small at no more than an inch typically (though at times can get up to 2â under certain conditions), and are almost always held horizontally from the stem. Ficus sp. âPanamaâ is an extremely popular species to use in terrariums in Europe and is slowly gaining popularity in the United States.
