General Information and Care: Ficus villosa is one of the harder to find species that Glass Box Tropicals offer. The leaves vary in coloration from a spectrum of greens to hues of red. The new leaves are red to bronze and as the leaves mature they slowly change to a dark green. In addition, the leaves and stems are completely covered in very fine hairs. Ficus villosa does best when given an object to grow up/on whether it be a background, driftwood, or a cork bark tube. This species also seems to prefer not to have constant water on its' leaves. If you are looking for something that no one else will likely have, this is the plant for you!
