General Information and Care: Goodyera malipoensis is a Jewel Orchid that is especially well suited for growing in a terrarium. This species appreciates a moist to wet media to grow in. Also, it likes medium to low light making it a great understory plant. G. malipoensis only blooms once a year with a 4-12" tall flower stalk covered in small white and yellow flowers. However, the foliage is what really appeals to many people. The leaves are long and narrow with stunning markings. As the leaves mature the colors improve and look even more stunning. This is another species that makes an excellent understory accent plant.
