General Information and Care: Goodyera reticulata is a Jewel Orchid that is especially well suited for growing in a terrarium. This species appreciates a moist to wet media to grow in. Also, it likes medium to low light making it a great understory plant. G. reticulata only blooms once a year with a 4-12â tall flower stalk covered in small white and yellow flowers. However, the foliage is what really appeals to many people. The leaves are similar to Macodes petola excpet they are a darker color and smaller. If the leaves begin to show a lot of pale red color, they are receiving too much light. This is typically not an issue in most terrariums though.
