Milled long fiber Sphagnum moss is frequently used as a stand alone media for germinating seeds in as well as with some types of carnivorous plants. It may also be used as an additive to many substrate mixes (Glass Box Tropicals uses it in ABG). This product is made from long fiber Sphagnum that has been milled to almost a powder. It is extremely dusty when dry (how it is shipped), so caution should be used when opening the bag before you have moistened it for use.
