Species: Peperomia emarginella Ecuador
Common name(s):
Native to: Ecuador
Temperature preferences: Warm to cool growing
Water preferences: Medium to high moisture
Terrestrial or Epiphytic: Epiphytic or Terrestrial
General Information and Care: Peperomia emarginella Ecuador is a wonderful tiny species that we found while hiking in Ecuador in 2016. This clone is obviously different from the others currently in the US hobby. This clone has extremely pubescent leaves compared to the other currently available. Additionally, this clone seems extremely prone to getting the double leaves that several other clones are known for. Overall this is an easy grower, but very delicate. We have had the best luck growing this epiphytically. This can be done on cork, cypress or ghostwood as long as you use a small bit of sphagnum to get it started and never let it dry out. It also does extremely well on Hygrolon and EpiWeb.

Despite the box arriving looking like an accordion the plant made it out unscathed, this order was a good as all of my orders from Glassbox
