General Information and Care: Peperomia prostrata is one of the more succulent species that Glass Box Tropicals offers. This species is native to Brazil and is commonly found growing as an epiphyte on trees and rocks. Many customers love this species due to the succulent leaves that almost look like they are swollen full of water. The leaves are also quite stunning with their dark green color and maroon to purple venation when young which turns to white venation as the leaves age. During shipping this species often drops leaves, once in a terrarium it will quickly rebound though and fill in the area that it is planted in. Often customers will unpot it completely and mount pieces around their terrarium on driftwood or their backgrounds and allow it to grow as an epiphyte. Overall a very easy species that can add some great interest!
