General Information and Care: Syngonium rayii, also called the Arrowhead Vine, is an easy to grow beautiful terrarium suitable species. In its immature form, which is typically what is observed in a terrarium it has an arrowhead shaped leaf. The leaves are typically dark green to almost black with a stunning white vein running down the center. This attribute really makes the leaves stand out in most terrariums. Typically the leaves range in size from 3-5" in length and 2-4" in width. Occasionally the plant will begin to produce mature leaves in a terrarium. In this case, the leaves become trilobed, with the center lobe being the only one with the white vein. This species rarely if ever flowers in a terrarium, so it is only grown for the amazing foliage. Additionally, this species tends to ramble around a tank. It is very easy to prune and keep contained to maintain the desired appearance though.
